Looks like the next update is happening next week instead of the regular 2. Something seems different about him rather than his looks. I'm nearly done with this chapter's outlines. It's like mad scrambling for a finish in your free time. I wanna know if you prefer the white text SFX or the colored ones? The coloreds have more flexibility but not as consistent as the rigid whites.

I gotta say, I'm a bit more fond of the colored FX... though, of course, whichever ones are the best for the panel at hand are the best ones.

I like what you've got going on here. Nice story, well drawn, interesting...

...and a character that lost his... umm... bits and seems to have gained combat prowess.

It's interesting that I recently had a similar-ish event in my comic (Autumn Bay). Something in the air, perhaps?

At any rate, keep up the good work!

Thank you all for liking it. I'll stick to my colored FX then. I'll check your comic out and continue doing my thing. Also, it takes more than a physical change to lose one's maleness imo.

He may have lost his maleness, but he has gained instant agility and a lot more ability to resist attack. This gets interesting.

He lost his sex, but not his gender. It raises an interesting question: what price is worth losing one of the prime identifying social factors / a bit of one's personal identity? I'm not saying it's a downgrade. Far from it. However, there is a whole construct society puts behind a female-bodied individual that is far different than that og a male-bodied person.
I'm interested to see how he deals with this change once he's out of danger.

so magical healing goo?
furthermore if his gender changed he should have lost 50% of his upper body strength and even if he gains peak female conditioning he'd still only be about as strong as he was before.

standard criticisms of the art and I'm starting to miss the grand copy pasted army of the republic.
the robot looks flat and the action stiff, the last panel isn't so bad.

miss/ter 'female bodied'- your body, specifically the hormones produced by it control most of your decision making, not your brain. there is a tiny part that controls your sexual identity- either male or female.your brain reacts to the hormones produced by the body,
these hormones are different in males and females. male hormones strengthen the body systems, build the brain to focus on the task at hand, and deal with emotions internally. females have more emphasis on external emotional management, tend to group together into cliques and have weaker bodily structures, these differences, and many more, compliment each other.
the social norms are based on the physical reality of the capabilities and complimentary nature of our bodies and minds - not the other way around. these norms evolved alongside us and were never 'put' on anyone. people tend to identify what roles they are suited to and the workplace has only recently become a place that weaker individuals can survive, in the most literal scene; it could and would kill you of you weren't able to meet the physical demands.
